If you’ve tried different gimmicks and fads to lose weight without success, here are some specific, key methods. If you want to get back into your skinny jeans and feel like your old self, it is time to get motivated now.
A better breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal and will help you stay on track. The heartiest breakfast will stave off cravings and keep you satisfied later in the day. Your morning meal should contain between 400 and 500 calories and should include lean proteins and fiber such as beans, eggs, Greek yogurt, nuts, vegetables, fruits and whole grains. Start your day with a blend of nutrients that will stabilize the blood sugar.
Make real foods a priority
Eat foods that are whole and not packaged or processed. Prepare your food fresh, for instance, fill up your meals with fresh vegetables and fruits, low-fat dairy, whole grains and lean protein.
Have a cup of coffee
Enjoy a cup of coffee at the start of the day. Coffee contains antioxidants and is a natural diuretic which will protect your cells. If you don’t like coffee, you can always opt for a cup of herbal tea. Research found that drinkers of green tea burned additional calories within a 24 hour period.
Avoid sugary beverages
You will not feel full by drinking sweetened juices as the way you would with real food. Eating protein packed stir fry or a bowl of veggies will keep your stomach full. So keep track of your intake of soda, juice and alcoholic beverages. If you consume one of these beverages you would have taken in extra calories but will continue to be hungry.
Go to bed
Sleep deprivation can make you fat, as funny as that sounds. Not getting proper sleep at night can lead to two things. First, you will be munching on all-night snacks, second it slows down your metabolism. So have a good 7 hours of sleep and you will shed those pounds quickly.
Take a walk in the evening
While exercising is good at any time of the day, going for a walk in the evening is particularly beneficial because the metabolism has slowed down by the end of the day. Increase your metabolic rate with an aerobics session with your personal trainer before dinner. This will keep you from having seconds and thirds and help you relax after dinner.
